Home Staging Tips

Staging your home can seem like a daunting task. You might not know where to start! As intimidating as it might seem, it is very important to do. You want people to envision the kind of life they can have in that home when staging and selling. So how do you accomplish this? Check out these tips on staging your home!

  1. Declutter

It’s time to do some good ole' spring cleaning (but anytime of the year). Go through your home and donate the things you don’t need or don’t use anymore. This is not only great for staging to help simplify the space, but it’s great for your upcoming move! You want the rooms to feel like a breath of fresh air rather than a to-do list.

  2. Clean

Now that the rooms are decluttered, it’s time to deep clean. Break out the mop, the sponges, the duster, and let’s get to work!

  3. refresh

If there are any small DIY or painting projects you’ve been putting off, now is the time to do complete them. These kinds of projects can really add value to your home. Don’t neglect how much a fresh coat of paint can refresh a room!

  4. Rework your layout

The layout of your furniture has served a great purpose in your time living in that home, but maybe try changing it up. Move things around and see if there’s a better way to optimize the space before people start coming through.

  5. Tie in your personality

The best part about homes is they reflect the personality of those living in them. Bring your personality throughout your staging through pops of color, indoor plants, small decoration items, whatever it might be. How you tie in your personality to the staging it what will make the home unique and stand out from the rest.
